Arrowrock Reservoir maps at 2,828 acres behind 51.5 miles of shoreline. That shoreline is heavily fingered (development index 6.9) — bays, points and pockets everywhere, which multiplies the fishable edge. 15% of the surface is littoral (under ~15 ft) — cover, weeds and forage water. Figure 9.9 mi of water from one end to the other, 7.3 mi at the beam. Elmore County claims this one. Its nearest charted neighbour, Lucky Peak Lake, is 8 mi to the west.
Come spring, look for kokanee tight to the bank in 10 to 30 ft. They move out to 30 to 70 ft in summer and finish the year down in 20 to 80 ft. If you only fish one area, make it Boise River inflow: an inflow / creek mouth around 5 ft that scores prime in fall. Best bite is early morning. A dodger + pink/orange squid on downrigger or a kokanee bug + corn is the honest summer answer here.

When the water first warms, rainbow trout slide up into 5 to 20 ft. Summer is an 8 to 30 ft game here, winter an 8 to 40 ft one. Start at Boise River inflow. It's an inflow / creek mouth holding about 5 ft of water and rates prime come spring. The feeding windows run early morning and the evening. Keep a dodger + spoon (deep troll) or a flutter spoon rigged through the warm months.

Early season smallmouth bass use the shallows, holding in 3 to 12 ft. Expect a summer slide to 10 to 30 ft, then a winter hold in 20 to 45 ft. Put Offshore hump first on the milk run — an offshore hump near 26 ft that grades prime for summer. In summer the feeding windows fall in early morning and the evening. Tie on a drop shot (goby/minnow) or a ned rig and you're in the game.

In spring, yellow perch run shallow here, mostly 3 to 12 ft. Summer pushes them deeper, 10 to 30 ft, and winter fish settle into 15 to 35 ft. Shallow bay flat is the standout, a feeding flat at roughly 5 ft, rated prime for spring yellow perch. Time it for early morning. You won't need more than a drop-shot micro plastics or a small spoon tipped with worm most summer days.

In spring, lake whitefish run shallow here, mostly 15 to 45 ft. Midsummer fish sit out in 40 to 90 ft before dropping to 25 to 70 ft for winter. Winter lake whitefish concentrate at Offshore hump, a prime-rated offshore hump around 26 ft. Fish it in early morning and you'll meet the bite. You won't need more than a blade bait vertical or a small jigging spoon most summer days.
